Let's see: the "two individuals" are public figures, who write and speak constantly. Are you saying that if we attack such public figures, we have to use our real names? Really? So no one can attack President Bush in a forum, unless he uses his real name?
As for "substantiation". Learn to read. Go to Wikipedia, for example.
If there were a few more than three people taking part in this forum, and if I could believe that the forum owner wouldn't wander away for a year again, I would be happy to show why these fakers richly deserve the names of charlatan and fraud, and why those who believe in them are boobies.

I'll try not to wander away again. For what it's worth, I've been staying on the issue for a couple moths now as evidenced by my blogging here: beagle17.gnn.tv
During my neglectful lapse, I didn't realize the board's sign-up mechanism was broken by a move to a different server. My mistake, yes. I was expecting an email would notify me of any new registrants, but the mailer wasn't functioning.
If the board, at that time, was actually being used, I probably would have noticed the problem because of my own participation. I'll be checking for posts at least once a week from now on.
For what it's worth, I do believe anonymity is a right available to all. No bother. But in my experience, people are more moved by what they read online when the writer voluntarily self-identifies. Just my opinion.

I am a 100% disabled veteran from Operation Desert Storm who tested positive for DU even after being away from it for 15 years! I have been sick since before returning home from the gulf and have been getting sicker since. My husband and son are sick as well because of the DU.
Tell me...where were you during the first gulf war?
Know your facts before you start hurling arrows at others who are already wounded by their own government!
By the way, Dr.Rokke, who has also been contaminated with DU, which means he knows a heck of a lot more about DU than you ever will!

It's interesting you ask Doug1943 (who I wish would put his real identity on his profile) why he's here if he is against the movement to stop DU. While I can't quite figure out people actually supporting the use of DU, at least not the foolishly indiscriminate use that has been the pattern thus far, I do hope you understand that I set up this BBS specifically because I do want to see people like Doug1943 posting here.
A few people in the anti-DU movement don't smile upon my efforts at all, feeling I am facilitating those who would advocate war crimes. I do see this point, but I feel it is more important to put aside feelings of personal offense and agree to debate. I am fully convinced that the science supports most of the claims against DU. Since the "pro-DU" folks like to claim they have science on their side, and furthermore manage to get a lot of media believing their posturing, it is important to confront them head on.
This is a public space that can preserve a record of debate over the science and other aspects of the DU issue. This record can only grow. Every argumentative victory made here remains for future journalists and undecided people to find. The truth will rise to the top.
It would be nice if we had real leaders to solve the problem as they are paid to do. But so far I don't hear Obama, Hillary, Ron Paul or any other politician of the limelight talking about DU. This is why I set up a place for ordinary people to participate in the investigation and condemnation of DU.
By this reasoning, Doug1943 is welcome here. He will receive polite treatment from me, and I will consider any arguments or information he chooses to post here. I hope others will understand and consider behaving in the same fashion.

Tanya, As you probably are aware, there has been much progress, mostly outside of the U.S., regarding the public disclosure of the damage and effects of weaponized depleted uranium. Even here at home many state governments have passed legislation requiring the testing of our veterans for DU exposure, and many of the veterans have begun to join together to discuss their plight and common interests. If you are interested in such an association, it would be a pleasure to help you connect to them.

I was just reading this because it was posted on a new DU blog I just came across for the first time. Dr. Rosalie Bertell at Annual Gulf War Illness Conference, 1999, Report to Veterans
In the report, she outlines some health tips for exposed people. I was reminded of my comment above. I think I'll post this in the consequences section. Maybe you would like to add your opinions on detox and therapy too. I'm sure you've researched it lots.
