Funny you should post that link. I already have it in the links library. In fact, I used to have it posted on the 'Personalities' page, but it pissed some people off, so now it is only on the 'Controversies' page.
I'm very curious about this link actually. I'm dying to know if there is any reason why it should not be considered US-military inspired character assassination plain and simple.
There are a lot of statements of fact on the pages in that link. I would want to check them all out pretty thoroughly before assuming it is all true. Take the Rokke claim of 30 dead team members. This was definitely printed by the Post-Intelligencer and we can probably safely assume Rokke made the assertion. Now here is what we have as a counter:
The following information from the military "Special Assistant on Deployment Health" paints a quite different picture. Unless Rokke can come up with the names of most of the 30 who he alleges have died, I will have to believe the government information, rather than Rokke's claim. Rokke seems to have exaggerated both his role and the number of people who have died since the cleanup. Here is the email from the official government source:
And we'll have to trust his retyping of the contents of that email. And who is he anyway? He is Robert Holloway, a man on which Rokke himself has quite a strong opinion. Holloway stands accused by Rokke and others of fabricating false claims. I am in possession of a lot of material that I am desperately trying to gather the time to filter through and present Rokke's rebuttals to the claims you link to.
I think some of the people in the anti-DU fight would much rather their would-be allies such as myself not give any credence to what they say is character assassination. I understand the offense they take. But I am also intrigued by the accusations against Rokke and Moret. The truth of this must come out.
But your link there is hardly proof that two of the best-known anti-DU activists are liars. It is what it is, just another link. Check the site that page is located on. Let me quote what I wrote on the aforementioned 'Controversies' page.
Concerned debunking or character asassination?
This strange page was brought to my attention by a post on a DU discussion thread here. There is an incongrous Barnes&Noble logo floating at the top, and the contents amount to much slander against Leuren Moret and Doug Rokke.
It is maintained on the server of Nevada Technical Associates, Inc. and is not linked to by any page on the company Website, or by very many Websites on the Web according to Google. The page is the responsibility of the company president, Dr. Robert Holloway.
