They are very busy testing veterans who NEED to be tested, such as myself, for DU.
Take more than a "quick look" and you will see that there is a lot of information on the subject there.
If you are a skeptic on the subject and further allowed to posted your junk on here, I will be leaving the group. because I thought this was a group who knows the TRUTH or is seeking the truth on DU!
By the way, thank you for caring that myself and thousands more veterans who served their countries are very ill and dying from the effects of Depleted Uranium!!

I'm not a skeptic actually. I think DU dust is a powerful carcinogen and one of the worst forms of pollution humans have ever created.
My comment was merely stating that I worry that the fact the UMRC top page looks out-of-date may be a bad thing. That is, it may appear to first-time visitors and such that the UMRC is not functioning properly or was only a scare-site in the first place.
I am well aware of the attacks against the anti-DU movement. I take these attacks very seriously and feel the movement cannot afford to just ignore them.
If you check my blog, you'll see that I actively do battle with Roger and investigate the validity of the sources that he repeatedly cites when he makes his ludicrous claims that no real scientists believe DU to be harmful.
For some reason, many anti-DU activists are very quick to assume that I am trying to defame the movement. I am not. I am trying to help. I do this according to my own judgement. Check my blog or some of my other posts for more details on this.
Part of my strategy is to provide this BBS so that people like Roger can be properly countered in an open and public space. Thus, Roger and those like him are welcome to post here. And the rest of us are even more welcome to respond by defending the truth.

Sorry for being so harsh, hard to know who you can trust.
Please make my email unavailable to everyone; Roger got it from either here or No More Du site and I don't think it was the other.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
If you like I can forward his emails to me to you, just say the word and they are there.
Blessings,
Tanya

UMRC is one of the most linked-to of all DU sites, so it comes up very high on Google (or at least I thought it used to; it doesn't now) and represents a lot of credibility. Perhaps the site needs a little facelift or something to make the top page look more like it cares about Web visitors. I think it's just a matter of finding a new person to take over the Website. It would be easy to get volunteers I would think.

You can go here to email UMRC. I am going to personally contact Stella who is my contact there and ask about the website. But I think if more people inquire they may think it more a priority than they currently do.
Right now it is all they can do to keep up with the testing and research to help us all. Maybe they would welcome someone maintaining the site. I personally wouldn't know how.
