Depleted Uranium Forums (DU-BBS)

My canned intro:

I AM TheStripey1, peace tiger. I'm a recovering republican and a Viet Nam vet. Although I lean left on some issues, I am NOT a liberal and altho I lean right on other issues, I am NOT a conservative. I consider myself to be a centrist and my political party unafilliated independant. But since I am staunchly anti-bush, you will find me swinging from the left side of center more often than not.

Looks around...  uhhhhh, is this a righty board? a lefty board? or a combo of both?

Anyway, I have lots of hot button issues that interest me so I imagine that I'll be making your acquaintence on the forums soon...

Addendum: One of the first issues I engaged in upon beginning my forum "work" was Depleted Uranium Munitions or DUMb as I like to call it. A couple of my online pals had GWS and I wanted to find out more about it.

Now, four years later, those friends are gone but I still can't seem to get through to people that DUMb will be the end of us all if we don't do something to stop it's use.

I find DUMb to be extremely depressing but will do my best to come here and contribute anything I can.

To answer your wonderings, this place is probably also neither left nor right. I am the person who set up the BBS, and I did it for one reason. I feel there is no convenient place on the net to discuss the complicated issue of DU. I know the issue shouldn't be so "complicated" but the fact is the supporters of DU weapons have succeeded in keeping DU out of the mainstream media for the past 12 years or more (with occassional exceptions).

There haven't been very many active posters on the forum yet, but I still participate regularly. I reason that the information posted here can be of value to others looking into the issue for the first time.

All are welcome to post, so don't expect me to remove posts supporting the use of DU. I won't. In fact, I want those posts here so that others can dissect them and show the falsehoods contained in their arguments.

As for GWS, I only ask how long Americans are going to accept the hypothesis that it is a mystery illness caused by a wide variety of factors. While this may be the case, the parallels between GWS and radiation poisoning are a might big clue suggesting the common link that is radioactive/toxic dust floating in the desert air.
